Autobiography of Pastor Samuel Adebayo Babalola
Pastor Samuel Adebayo Babalola hailed from Efon-Alaaye in Ekiti State but was born in Ondo, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State, on 24th October 1961. He was born into the family of Pa and Mrs. Oyebade Ebenezer Babalola. He began his elementary education in 1967 and later pursued higher studies, earning a Degree in Theology and a Diploma in Public Administration. In recognition of his unwavering commitment to the work of God and his lifelong dedication to ministry, he was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Divinity toward the latter part of his life. He commenced his professional career with the Ondo State Judiciary in 1983 and faithfully served until his retirement on 25th April 2018. On 17th December 1988, he was joined in holy matrimony with Mrs. Olayinka Margaret Babalola at The Gospel Faith Mission International, Ondo. Their marriage was blessed with four highly favoured and promising children.
Ministerial Journey
Pastor Samuel Adebayo Babalola devoted over three decades of his life to active ministry within The Gospel Faith Mission International. He served faithfully in various pastoral and leadership capacities, including: Former Pastor, Gospel Faith Mission, Mobayode Assembly, Former Pastor, Gospel Faith Mission, Orisumibare Assembly. Former Zonal Pastor, Gospel Faith Mission, Ayeyemi Zone, Former Pastor, Irenitemi Assembly, Former Resident Pastor, Gospel Faith Mission International, Ondo District Headquarters, Gani Fawenhinmi Assembly. He later served as Pastor of Gospel Faith Mission International, Irenitemi Zone, Regional Prayer Coordinator, and Traveling Evangelist until his last breath. He was a seasoned and indefatigable minister, deeply committed to prayer, a member of the House of Prayers, committed to teaching, and shepherding God’s people. A choice minister of the Gospel, he was widely sought after as an officiating minister at wedding ceremonies. His simplistic manner, clarity of teaching, and gentle humor made him a beloved voice at such sacred gatherings.
Literary Contributions:
He authored the book What the Christian Marriage Entails and other works including: The Significance of Christian Foundation, Foundation and Dealing with Faulty Foundation.
His enduring burden was to see every Christian family become: “The dearest place on earth, the nearest place to heaven.”
